FounderMate

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 01, 2026

1. Who we are

FounderMate ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Yasin Elstohi ([your country / jurisdiction]), the operator of myfoundermate.com. By using the site or service, you ("you", "user") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What we provide

FounderMate is an AI-assisted market research tool. It scans public conversations (such as Reddit and Hacker News), clusters them into recurring pain points, scores them, and can generate SaaS ideas and validation reports based on inputs you provide (your idea description, interests, niches, etc.). Outputs are produced by large language models and third-party data sources, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are for informational purposes only — they are not business, financial, legal, or investment advice, and are not a guarantee of any outcome.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the paid features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid use of FounderMate works on a subscription. Plans (currently Explorer, Builder, and Founder) are billed monthly and grant a daily allowance of idea validations, pain point unlocks, and other features described on the pricing page. The Explorer plan may include a free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page or your payment receipt; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law or stated in Section 5 below.

You may also buy one-time credit packs — a fixed number of extra idea validations or blueprint unlocks added to your balance, which never expire and are consumed only after your daily plan allowance is used. Credit packs are one-time charges and do not renew.

All payments are processed by [your payment processor], our merchant of record. Prices are shown in USD; applicable sales tax or VAT is determined by our payment processor based on your location and added at checkout. Pricing and plan limits may change for future billing periods or new purchases, with notice for active subscribers.

5. Refunds

Our refund terms are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything illegal, harmful, or infringing
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute outputs as a stand-alone product that competes with FounderMate
  • Scrape, rate-abuse, or circumvent plan limits, usage quotas, or our API
  • Submit content you do not have the rights to, or that violates third-party rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund for the current billing period.

7. Intellectual property

The FounderMate name, site, code, and brand belong to us. You own the inputs you submit and the outputs generated for you, subject to the license to third-party model providers whose services we rely on. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve the product.

8. Charts and images

The charts, graphs, and data visualizations we publish on the FounderMate blog are our own original work, built from our own data. You may reuse them anywhere — articles, posts, decks, reports, AI-generated answers — at no cost and without asking us first, on two conditions: keep the image unmodified, and credit "FounderMate" with a visible link to the page you took it from.

This permission covers those published images only. It does not cover the FounderMate name, logo, or anything else addressed in Section 7. If you want to use a chart on different terms, or need a modified or higher-resolution version, email yasin@myfoundermate.com.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for a business decision. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent allowed by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profits damages.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the site or email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and can request permanent deletion of your account and data from your account settings or by emailing us; we may suspend or terminate access for material breach.
